The Uists 2025 Part 3

 30th July - 1st August Started the day photographing green finch in the garden. And a meadow pipit on a fence post. A stonechat on the fence. Then we drove to the isle of Berneray, and walked on the beach. There were small numbers of dunlin, ringed plover and sandling. Dunlin Ringed plover Sandling Walked back behind the beach, on the track, and saw a few more birds. Oystercatcher White tailed eagle, mobbed by a raven. Greylag geese Meadow pipit And then, a small flock of twite. I'd got the idea on the web, and talking at the RSPB watchpoint that twite were quite difficult to see, but here, there was a nice and obliging flock. A rather black sheep! View of the area.
